Jane Hill

I was recently referred to Mr Ishaque due to the intense back pain from which I had been suffering for some considerable time. When I met Mr Ishaque, he seemed to fully understand my problem and did not, for one moment, suggest that it was in any way at least partially a psychological matter. He examined my back with the utmost care and suggested an MRI scan.
The scan results were not at all good and his suggestion was that I undergo at least one injection into the lower back. Mr Ishaque decided that he preferred to carry out this procedure under general anaesthetic. This would enable him to perform the procedure with more accuracy as I would not be moving. He explained in detail what would happen from bed rest to the recuperation period which gave me a great deal of confidence.
If I am ever faced with the need to undergo spinal surgery, then I would have absolutely no hesitation in requestion Mr Ishaque to be the consultant surgeon. He is so very charming and professional and gives his patients absolute belief in his undoubted ability.

Professional Memberships

Mr Ishaque is highly experienced and widely recognised as a leading Consultant Spinal Surgeon. He is one of the few surgeons to have been awarded both the British Orthopaedic Association's Robert Jones Gold Medal and a Hunterian Professorship from The Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is one of the youngest surgeons to have achieved this, having been awarded both honours, before the age of 40.
